A new HUGE fan of this lady.

Today I'm worshiping all things creative and cute. I guess it's just the search for the new, after being emancipated from the old.

So I did a little shopping and happened upon a book called "Like I Give a Frock" (Chronicle Books, 2009) by Michi Girl. What caught me first was the beautiful illustrations on the cover, which begged me to look inside.

The illustrator is Kat McLeod, who is a Australian-based artist that works in a collage style. I just LOVE her whimsical style, which is also quite sophisticated and endearing. I find myself becoming more and more attracted to fashion-based illustration that has an editorial/sassy edge to it. I think this will be my focus for the next few months. I am so inspired and can't wait to experiment! I plan on posting sketchies and such as I go.
